Mike
Whitney and Rosemary Whitney, the principals at CREATIVE STRATEGIES,

MIKE
WHITNEY has thirty-five years of experience in business-to-business
selling in capital equipment industries. Mike's successful career has included ownership and presidency of machine tool distributor and importer firms that were consistently profitable under his management Those accomplishments were built on his earlier experiences in sales and marketing management positions in machinery distribution, and as a salesman in the field for machinery distributors and directly for a manufacturer. Mike has
an engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA
in Finance and Economics from Western Michigan University. He received
certification from the Advanced Management Studies Program at the
Yale University School of Organization and Management, and from
Xavier University in Cincinnati from Train the Trainer Programs on How Adults Learn,
and on Planning, Designing, and Evaluating Training Programs. Mike
has extensive board experience with manufacturers, distributors,
associations and non-profit organizations.
Since
founding CREATIVE STRATEGIES Mike has helped American, European
and Asian companies identify and measure their performance drivers
and establish strategies that are based on accurate market information.
Mike Whitney writes the bi-monthly "Behind the Numbers" column for Tooling & Production magazine and has been a contributor to Tool Talk, the newsletter of the American Machine Tool Distributors Association. He is a member of the National Association
for Business Economics. Mike was a featured speaker at the April 2003 Meeting of the American Machine Tool Distributors, presenting "Using Forecasting for Improved Performance." ROSEMARY
WHITNEY is a professional research and information specialist
with a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican
University in Chicago. She provides business and marketing intelligence
for companies in the United States and overseas. Rosemary is a former
librarian with experience in corporate, academic, and public libraries.
